Thrown on the potter's wheel using iron rich clay from St Agnes, Cornwall, this barrel bellied mug sits comfortably in the hand. Glazed in traditional Shino glaze with a splash of slip decorating the walls. The toasty raw clay is revealed towards the base.
You can see my finger marks where I gripped the mug during gazing.
The inside of the mug is glazed in a grey/green celadon.
Fired to 1300 degrees C.
My potter's mark is on the base. The mug in the picture is the one you will receive.
