Thrown on the potter's wheel using clay from St Agnes, Cornwall this barrel bellied mug sits comfortably in the hand. Glazed in traditional Shino glaze which displays more opaque white where it is thickest near the rim. The glaze drips down the side of the form into an ombre of warm autumnal peach and tan where it's thinner. The beautiful speckle of the clay beneath shines through. You can actually see my finger marks where I gripped the mug during gazing.
Fired to 1300 degrees C/ cone 10
My potter's mark is on the base.
The mug in the picture is the one you will receive.
