Thrown on the potter's wheel using clay from St Agnes, Cornwall this barrel bellied mug sits comfortably in the hand. Glazed in traditional Shino glaze - sat near the back of the front of the kiln this mug got more heat-work. The glaze has warm autumnal tones and variation of peach and tan. The toasty raw clay is revealed at the base. You can see a finger marks where I gripped the mug during gazing by the handle.
Fired to 1300 degrees C.
My potter's mark is on the base. The mug in the picture is the one you will receive.
