Stamped Jar Vase I
Jar Vase with stamped detail.
Thrown on the wheel using 2 kilos of clay. Altered when it was still wet, the vase was ‘stamped’ with a wooden paddled to create the pattern on four sides. Glazed in a matt green glaze. Cornflower blue has been created at the rim where the transparent interior glaze has overlapped. Fired to 1260 degrees centigrade. My potter’s mark is on the base.
