This one person teapot was thrown on the potter's wheel in a three separate pieces; the body, the spout and the lid using Staffordshire stoneware clay. When it was leather hard the spout was attached, the strainer holes cut and the handle added.
Glazed in dolomite glaze which displays more opaque white where it is thickest and an gentle oatmeal where it's thinner. The beautiful speckle of the clay beneath shines through. The interior has been glaze in a glossy chun glaze.
My potter's mark by the glaze line at the rear. The teapot in the picture is the one you will receive.
This teapot has an excellent pour.
