This one person teapot was thrown on the potter's wheel in a single piece - using iron rich clay from St Agnes, Cornwall. It was altered when it was leather hard to give it a flat bottom and angle the spout. A lid was cut and the handle lugs were added.

Glazed in traditional Shino glaze which displays more opaque white where it is thickest and an ombre of warm autumnal orange, rust and sepia where it's thinner. The beautiful speckle of the clay beneath shines through. The teapot has been finished with a jute covered brass handle.

My potter's mark on the left hand side of the pot under the glaze. The teapot in the picture is the one you will receive.

This teapot has an excellent pour. It does not have a leaf filter so you'll need to use it in conjunction with a strainer or teabags.
