This narrow necked bud vase was thrown on the potter's wheel using iron rich clay from St Agnes, Cornwall. Decorated in a pale clay slip (liquid clay) to add texture whilst the vase was still leather hard. Glazed in traditional Shino glaze which displays an ombre of warm autumnal peach and orange. The beautiful speckle of the clay beneath shines through.
The path of the flames is evident where the raw clay has taken on a slight metallic sheen on one side.
Fired to 1300 degrees C.
The vase in the picture is the one you will receive.

Made using lead free, dinnerware safe glazes.
Hand wash where possible.
