Black Skye Teapot II

Black Skye Teapot II
Two person teapot with brass hemp cord covered handle.
Hand thrown on my potters wheel using black clay. This teapot is made up of five separate pieces carefully constructed and then left to dry for at least a week. Glazed in glossy dusky glaze with opalescent blues, pinks and greys. Where the glaze breaks the dark clay shines through echoing the Outer Hebridien landscapes from which I drew my inspiration for this peice.
Finished with a hand wrought brass handle wrapped in jute twine. Fired to 1240 degrees centigrade.
The teapot in the picture is the teapot you’ll receive. This teapot is a good pourer.
My potter’s mark is on the base.
