Skye Grey Teapot
Skye Grey Teapot
Hand thrown teapot with jute covered brass handle.
Hand thrown on my potters wheel using grey Scandinavian stoneware clay. This teapot is made up of five separate pieces carefully constructed and then left to dry for at least a week. Glazed in a subtle pale grey- pink glaze inspired by the mist over Glenbrittle beach on the Isle of Skye . Fired to 1250 degrees centigrade. Finished with a wrought metal hand wound in jute. This teapot has an excellent pour.
My potter’s mark is on the base.
