Hand Built Pottery Pumpkins

Individually sculpted by hand using black stoneware clay. After drying out for over a week the pumpkins were fired in my electric kiln to 1060 degrees. After they were cooled they were glazed with a combination of homemade glazes. The glazes have mingled and merged to create pretty effects. The pumpkins are fired a second time to 1220 degrees centigrade.
After the pumpkins emerge from the glaze firing they are delicately painted with either 24 Karat gold lustre and 24 K gold marblizer which created unique marble effects. They are then fired for a third and final time to 717 degrees centigrade.
My potter’s mark is on the base.
