Practical Magic - 24k Gold Lustre
Hand Built Pottery Pumpkin
The pumpkin in the pictures is the pumpkin you will receive.
Carefully sculpted by hand using black stoneware clay. After drying out for over a week the pumpkins were fired in my electric kiln to 1060 degrees. After they were cooled they were glazed with a combination of my homemade glaze colours. The glazes have mingled and merged to create gorgeous effects. Fired a second time to 1220 degrees centigrade.
After the pumpkin emerged from the glaze firing it was carefully painted with 24 karat gold and marblizer. Then it was fired for a third and final time to 717 degrees centigrade which sets the gold.
My potter’s mark is on the base
