Hand Built Pottery Pumpkin
The pumpkin in the pictures is the pumpkin you will receive.
Carefully sculpted by hand using buff stoneware clay. After drying out for over a week the pumpkin was fired in my electric kiln to 1060 degrees. After cooling the pumpkin was glazed with my Stormy Seas glaze. Fired a second time to 1220 degrees centigrade.
After the pumpkin emerged from the glaze firing the stalk was carefully painted with 24 karat gold. Then it was fired for a third and final time to 717 degrees centigrade which sets the gold.
My potter’s mark is on the base
