Dark Skye Lidded Pot II

Dark Skye Lidded Pot II
‘Upon the Old Man of Storr they lie,
shadows drifting over the Isle of Skye.
The loch reflects the fading light,
as stars awaken, soft and bright.
The hills grow hushed, the night is near,
a shooting star cuts sharp and clear.
Stone remembers, sky replies,
the Storr keeps watch where silence sighs.’
Arthur Fichal (Author)
A place to keep all your treasures.
Twice fired to 1240 degrees centigrade. My potter’s mark is on the base. This pot was thrown from a single piece of clay then cut and carved to create the base and the lid.
Glazed with my glossy ‘Dark Skyes’ glaze; a translucent inky blue that lets the beauty of the black clay beneath shine through. The glazed has pooled around the base which gives more intense blue tones
The pot in the picture is the pot you’ll receive.
