This pot was thrown from a single piece of clay then cut and carved to create the base and the lid. Debossed with a subtle stamp motif circumventing the form.

Glazed with my glossy ‘Dark Skyes’ glaze; a translucent blue that lets the beauty of the black clay beneath shine through. The glaze has pooled in the pattern to create more intense blue tones. Twice fired to 1240 degrees centigrade. My maker’s mark is on the base.
