Blind Box - Set of Three - with 24k Gold Lustre
Hand Built Pottery Pumpkins
Set of Three Blind Box - this will include one of each size but the actual three pumpkins you receive will be a surprise. At least two of the pumpkins will feature gold lustre. The pictures are a representation of the type of set you will receive.
Individually sculpted by hand using black, buff or grey stoneware clay. After drying out for over a week the pumpkins were fired in my electric kiln to 1060 degrees. After they were cooled they were glazed with a combination of homemade glazes. The glazes have mingled and merged to create pretty effects. The pumpkins are fired a second time to 1220 degrees centigrade.
After the pumpkins emerge from the glaze firing they are delicately painted with either 24 Karat gold lustre or 24K gold plus marblizer which created unique marble effects. They are then fired for a third and final time to 717 degrees centigrade.
Each pumpkin has its own unique character. My potter’s mark is on the base.
