The glaze captures the fleeting moments of a Northerly sunset - the warm, fading glow reflecting off the Cullin Mountains, casting shadows that play across the landscape.
Hues of soft, misty blues, gentle greys and subtle pinks meld together, mirroring the ethereal fog that drifts over the peaks of Skye. As the light fades, a deep, earthy grey emerges at the base, grounding the vessels in the ancient soil of the mountains.
This slightly tapered mug was thrown on the wheel using Scandinavian grey stoneware clay. Glazed in my Glenbrittle glaze and fired to 1240 degrees centigrade. Every mug is unique, the mug one you receive will vary slightly from the one pictured.
