A medium sized posy jug; perfect for displaying sweet peas from the garden. Also great as a milk jug for the breakfast table.
Handmade on my potter's wheel using Scandinavian stoneware clay. I leave it to dry for a day or two and then fettle the base and add my potter's mark. The jug is then left to completely dry for at least a week. Once bone dry it is fired to 1060 degrees centigrade.
The glaze captures the fleeting moments of a Northerly sunset - the warm, fading glow reflecting off the Cullin Mountains. Hues of soft, misty blues, gentle greys and subtle pinks meld together, mirroring the ethereal fog that drifts over the peaks of Skye.
The jug is then fired a second time to 1240 degrees centigrade making it strong and durable. My potter’s mark is on the base.

Made with lead free glazes.
Dishwasher safe but its kinder to hand wash.
