Made using black stoneware clay. Two separate pieces of clay were thrown on my potters wheel. Once leather hard I trimmed the bowl of the top and fettled the base. At this stage the butter curl detail is added. Glazed with a beautiful glossy ‘Dark Skyes’ subtle blue glaze which allows the drama of the black clay to shine. Twice fired to 1240 degrees centigrade.
