Salt Pig VII

Salt Pig VII

£52.00

‘Pygge’ from the old Scots word for pot.

Hand thrown on the wheel in a single piece using black stoneware clay. Glazed in my Glenbrittle glaze; a subtle pale blue base with soft pink hues at the edges. Grey speckles show from the clay beneath. The form is dipped twice; a beautiful effect has been created where the two layers have merged. Fired to 1240 degrees centigrade. My maker’s mark is on the base.

The salt pig comes with a little matching clay spoon.

The pot in the picture is the pot you’ll receive.
