‘Pygge’ comes from the old Scots word for pot.

Hand thrown on the wheel in a single piece using black stoneware clay. Once leather hard the final shape is carved. Dip glazed with a floating blue glaze. Dark and brooding evocative of the ocean on a stormy day. You’ll love the way the glaze has trailed its glossy fingers down the form. Fired to 1240 degrees centigrade. My maker’s mark is on the base.

The salt pig comes with a little matching clay spoon.
