Moon shaped vessel thrown from Scandinavian black clay.

This shape was inspired by a set of ginger jars found in a local antique shop.
Hand thrown on the wheel with black stoneware clay. Glazed in my Glenbrittle glaze; inspired by the sunset on Glenbrittle beach on the Isle of Skye. Subtle grey speckles show through from the clay beneath. The glaze has been poured over the form; a beautiful effect has been created where the layers have merged.

*There is a dark freckle where an iron deposit has burnt out on the side, you can see that in the final picture.

Fired to 1240 degrees centigrade.
My maker’s mark is on the base. The pot in the picture is the pot you’ll receive.
